Biography

Gallery Director Robert Bullivant has owned and operated Bullivant Gallery in Saint Louis for over a decade. He enjoys working in a collaborative fashion with artists, many of whom have been loyal clients since he first began printing. In 2001, Robert developed a unique method of digital capture, workflow, and printing that he later named Esattezza Arte®, meaning “exactitude” in Italian. It was this process that would permit him to make prints having the accuracy and longevity that museums and collectors demand.

Robert worked with Italian motorcycle designer Massimo Tamburini in creating a series of limited edition original artworks featuring some of Tamburini’s finest designs including the Ducati 916 and MV Augusta F4 Oro motorcycles. His artwork often ties strong conceptual themes with an eclectic blend of mediums to create a visual style which has won him many awards. His motorcycle prints were featured in the traveling Art of the Motorcycle exhibit at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao Spain, and his prints have been sold to collectors in more than 60 countries.

Robert’s commercial work includes commissions by international and Fortune 500 companies to produce unique promotional imagery for advertising. Prior to opening Bullivant Gallery, he operated Bullivant Studios in Chicago and St. Louis for 10 years. He was hired by clients such as Sony, Hewlett-Packard, United Airlines, McDonalds, Kraft, Purina, Microsoft, Audi, Kellogg’s, and Anheuser-Busch to create unique photography for advertising campaigns.

His love of motorcycles and automobiles themes continues to be a prominent portion of his personal art.
